![]() ![]() Their belongings were in the garage closet where they’ve had them hidden. Since it was outside and both of them were together curiosity as to who’s calling her from his (Todd) phone would cause them both to go out there. Even though he did push her down the stairs, he seemed genuinely concerned with her well being.Īs for Todd’s phone. I think in some strange way Alec really did like Mindy. He left the body because his colleague was waiting for him. Then returns to the car where Detective Spitzky is waiting for him as if nothing happened. He seemed to have stopped by the house to get some files and that’s when he attacks Todd from behind with the baseball bat. Greg finding Todd in the basement I believe is coincidental. As to why he didn’t stay behind, because he is the Lead detective in the case so if he was bailing on his own case it would lead to suspicion. ![]() ![]() Supported by the screaming child in the shed. He went along knowing the victims wouldn’t say anything or were going to be too afraid to. I believe Greg is all about psychological warfare. This is purely speculation based on opinion only. Not a bad movie but these things are bothering me having just watched it. She just leaves a minute later because she had to take the son to school. The wife answers the phone twice and is confused and nothing comes of it at all. How is calling the wife from Todd's phone supposed to get them to leave the house when they are both in the basement? Alec doesn't even say anything on the phone at all. When Mindy says 'we need some way to get out of the house', Alec responds 'he dropped his phone'. Oh and one more, when Todd (the cheating guy) gets knocked by the cup I guess he drops his phone. Why was Mindy necessary at all? If Alec wanted to take his weird psychological revenge on Greg he could have done it entirely by himself. This to me is the biggest hole in the movie. Why did Greg know that the guy cheating with his wife was in the basement with an injured head? Why was his plan to go kill him with a baseball bat and then leave the body there for his wife to discover? That is a ridiculous plan. Why wouldn't Greg just wait in the car or something, he wasn't even the one who talked to the boy. If Greg knew they were going to the house to speak with victims of his own crime, wouldn't he figure out some way to not go? It seems the boy turned around and noticed Greg and that's why he starts screaming or whatever, as another user pointed out below. This movie has plenty of weird questions and I can't find anywhere on the internet so far talking about them. In order to protect our son, see? Who didn't really do it. So, anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, instead of calling the cops, while our son is upstairs playing video games, my husband and I drag the corpse up the stairs and into the garage and load it into the back of the SUV and take it to the woods and bury it in a shallow grave. What's that? Did we ever confront my son about it? No, we just went with it. Now, remember, at this point, I still think my son did it. From a ceramic mug falling on his head! Bizarre, isn't it? Anyway, so I wait till my husband comes home after work and, in a panic, I tell him everything. And when I come home, i go down to check on my ex lover in the basement, and I find him dead. So we go to the basement so I can treat the gash on his head, but I have to leave to take my son to school. But it wasn't see? But I'll get to that in a minute. But then he showed up one morning trying to convince me to keep it going, and as we were arguing, a mug fell on his head and gashed him pretty bad. "Yeah, see, so I had this affair with this guy, but I broke it off. But good luck trying to get the cops to believe all that! Especially the wife. Lol I was thinking okay fine we all know who the bad guy is and how it all went down because we had the benefit of seeing it as it happened. ![]()
